ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS

SCREENPLAY COVERAGE

Q. What is screenplay coverage?

    A. It's an analysis of your screenplay that includes a summary and a critique of your story. The people who write coverage are known as readers or screen story analysts. They evaluate the huge number of script submissions given to producers and agents. Very often, a producer or agent will only read your screenplay if a reader has recommended it.

For that reason, you should make sure your screenplay has been properly formatted and has been checked for correct spelling and grammar.

Movie Magic Screenwriter 2000 is a great, user-friendly screenwriting program that automates the script formatting process, and includes spell check and grammar check features. The program is as easy to use as Microsoft Word.

Q. Who provides screenplay coverage services at Scriptologist.com?

    A. Glenn Bossik, a screenwriter who worked for Director Alan J. Pakula, creator of the hit film, "The Pelican Brief." Glenn has a Bachelor of Arts degree in film production.

He has also worked in the advertising and public relations industry, so he understands how films are marketed and how you can market your screenplay successfully to agents and producers.

Q. How can I benefit from getting coverage of my screenplay?

    A. You can use the synopsis included in your coverage to pitch your screenplay to agents and producers.

Q. How does the process of getting coverage from Scriptologist.com work?

    A. To initiate the process, print out and fill out one copy of the screenplay services form and one copy of the submission release agreement for each screenplay you are submitting, sign each form where indicated, and mail the signed forms with a check or money order (made payable to Portable Shopper, LLC), a copy of your screenplay, and a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope (for return-shipping of your screenplay) to: Portable Shopper, LLC, c/o Scriptologist.com, 13830 Onieda DR APT E2, Delray Beach, FL 33446.

Please note that if more than one person wrote the screenplay you are submitting, each writer must fill out a screenplay services form and a submission release agreement, and mail the forms with the screenplay to Portable Shopper, LLC.
